Michael Pearson Hope Tribute Fund

Michael John Pearson was born on 8th May 1983. He sadly passed away on 14th December 2002. He is much loved and will always be remembered by all his family and friends.

Michael was born on 8th May 1983 in Harrogate.  A gorgeous baby brother for Andrew.
In 1987 we moved to Stockport. Michael started school at Warren Wood Primary and then attended Offerton High School.  His time at Marple Ridge College was cut short when, at the age of 17, he was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer.
Even though he was very poorly, Michael started raising much needed funds for the Young Oncology Unit (now renamed The Teenage and Young Adult Unit) at The Christie Cancer Hospital, Manchester.
Sadly, on 14th December 2002, at the age of only 19, Michael lost his brave fight and passed away.  This was obviously devastating for all our family and friends.
Michael was a wonderful son and brother.  He was very kind and thoughtful and we are all so very proud of him.
We carried on fund raising and set up the "Michael Pearson Hope Tribute Fund" in Michael's memory.  All proceeds are given to The Teenage and Young Adult Unit, at The Christie.
We would like to thank everyone, past, present and future, for the wonderful support you have given us.
